Project overview

A 1970s ranch home with a narrow galley kitchen, limited storage and very little natural light reaching the prep areas.

The goal

The homeowners wanted space to cook together, a place for the kids to do homework and storage that kept the counters clear.

The approach

We removed a non-structural wall, reworked the layout around a central island and paired warm oak cabinetry with quartz counters and layered lighting.

The result

The kitchen now connects to the living area, holds twice the storage and has become the natural gathering point of the home.
